Featuring humorous, harrowing, and heartfelt stories of reproductive health as experienced by members of our own community.

We’ll supply stories from ALL those who desperately sought or actively avoided pregnancy, from those who grew a baby, lost a baby, birthed a baby, or were told it was too soon, too late or impossible to do so. Not to forget also...stories from those who supported or cared for a person while they experienced a reproductive health moment.

All stories told from personal experience.

Boston: Spring 2017 Slam

Boston's 7th slam is coming and you should be there! At this event you will get the chance to hear ten stories of reproduction and birth in 5 minutes or less and meet some pretty awesome people. The Rockwell is an intimate venue that hosts unique and varied programming, we hope to see you there!

Cape Cod: Mini Slam 2017

Join us for an evening of five-minute stories centered around reproductive experiences from a variety of perspectives. We talk about everything: menarche, menopause, birth from every possible perspective from the birth-giver and the partner to the provider to the support people. Birth control, postpartum experiences, you name it. Come and enjoy the stories, and share your own if you'd like! We're calling this a mini slam because it's a bit less polished, a bit more spontaneous than our 'big' slams. So enjoy the casual vibes, tasty bites, and good community!

$5 suggested ticket price at the door (more if you can, less if you can't!) 
*We are an all-volunteer organization and all funds go toward recouping our costs and creating the next slam*

Back for the third annual slam, Birth Story Slam invites you to sit back, relax and enjoy ten stories of reproduction in five minutes or less, from home to hospital and back. 

Contributions by both seasoned and novice tellers.
Featuring stories by mothers, doulas, partners, and adoptive parents.
